Efflorescence and staining related to moisture are frequently cited in construction defect claims involving tile and stone assemblies. These conditions are often attributed to installation error or material failure based on their visual impact.<\/span><\/p>

In many cases, however, efflorescence reflects moisture movement within the assembly rather than a defect in the installation itself.<\/p>

It is essential to understand the distinction for accurate forensic evaluation.<\/p>

Moisture Movement, Material Behavior, and Pattern Analysis<\/h3>
